Wren didn't trick or treat in this, but she was invited to a Halloween party early in October - so she went as Minnie Mouse.

Halloween or not, she loves dress up!

Happy Halloween - Quack Quack

I think Wren was a little unsure of this whole Halloween thing - she wasn't too excited when we started walking up to the first house, but the second she saw that big bucket of candy she was SOLD on this whole trick or treating thing.  By the end of the night, she was saying "Light on - go" or
"not light on."  She wouldn't let go of her purple pumpkin full of candy, even when Abby carried her on her shoulders and the purple pumpkin kept smacking poor Abby in the forehead...

...for some reason this was the only picture that would load, but I will try again tomorrow and see if I can get some more on.

Fall Fun

Ahh...Vermont! What a perfect place to spend the fall.  I almost forgot how beautiful it was, and I definately forgot HOW MANY LEAVES land on this yard!  Oh WOW, did we spend a whole lot of time raking, blowing, raking, blowing...

At least Wren had a blast!  From jumping in (all) the piles of leaves, to getting leaves thrown at her, to riding on top of the tarp as we hauled the leaves into woods, she loved it all!

On Saturday Wren went to a birthday party at Hathaways.  She had a great time in the corn maze, but couldn't understand why we couldn't eat the "torn."

She was VERY excited when she got to pick her own pumpkin, in the pumpkin patch!

Spring Corn and Fashion Statements

So we have learned a few more things about our little girl...
1.  She can polish off 3 ears of corn without a problem
2.  She will eat every single kernel of corn off the ear - (better than her Mommy does.)
....and....

 3.  She thinks she is some kind of fashion mogul

She saw the basket of winter hats, gloves etc. and that was it "I want hat - I want hat!"

When wearing a yellow sundress and purple winter hat - where else would one sit, but a pink rolling basket of balls??!!

A Shower and a Sprinkle

Wren's first cake-pop - actually her Mommy and Mama's first cake-pop too - they were pretty tasty!
 Aunt Julie's baby shower

Wren wasn't quite sure about the Sprinkler at first...

...but she loved it!

Myrtle Beach - The Final Days

During our final days at the beach Wren came to love playing in the sand.  She still wouldn't go barefoot, but there is always next time.

We are pretty sure, Wren thought she was cleaning the beach.  She collected lots and lots of shells!

Myrtle Beach Part III - The Crab Hat, Build-a-Bear, and the Merry-Go-Round

She loves this hat, but she thinks it's "Melmo" (Elmo)

Her very first Merry-Go-Round ride.

She is pushing the bunny's heart in (after she gave it a kiss)

She was very excited once she saw it finished!

Myrtle Beach 2012 - The Beach Saga Continues...

Success!! Wren played in the sand and picked up sea shells for almost an hour!! After a walk on the beach Wednesday morning when she saw kids of all ages playing on the beach she was ready! Actually, she was trying to go get their toys, but that is another story. We got her pail and she started picking up sea shells. We are pretty sure she thought she was "cleaning" the beach. She loved it! She was a tad unsure of actually playing in the sand, but pretty soon she was covered in it! Looking for shells we buried, she would say "where?" She liked watching the waves, but the water is pretty chilly!

A family portrait :-)

Proof!

A wave caught Abby off guard - the water was a bit cold...

Wren patting the sand down in her bucket.

And of course she had to taste it...

Myrtle Beach 2012 - Part I

Well we made it to South Carolina, after hitting MAJOR traffic jams - due to a mistake (or mistakes) made by a certain someone who shall remain nameless.  Subsequently, Wren will be in charge of navigation on the trip home.  Our room is on the 2nd floor overlooking the ocean, and the Lazy River.  Wren absolutely loves sitting on the balcony watching and yelling to the older kids floating by.  Wren absolutely hates the sand on the beach.  No dirt for her!  IF she wears her sneakers, and IF the tide is low so she can run in the hard sand, and IF there are sea gulls to chase Wren loves the beach.  IF you try to put her in the dry sand and build a sandcastle her temper tantrum can be heard by beach-goers in the Florida Keys...

Easter Morning

Dressed up temper tantrum...

Who needs the beach, when you can play in the cupboards??!!

The Easter bunny brought bracelets!

Easter Weekend (a week early)

Seeing as we will be in South Carolina for Easter weekend, we celebrated a week early with Abby's family.

Wren  re-decorating her Grandmother's Easter tree

Who knows what she is doing here...    :-)

She LOVED the hat at the store when we bought it, we practically had to put her on the checkout to scan and pay for the hat.  Do you think she wanted anything to do with it yesterday?  I think this is the only picture we got with her wearing it!

Playing Catch Up

I know it has been 2 months since my last post and I am so sorry - we have been so busy time is flying faster than usual!!!

Wren is talking up a storm - even some 2 word phrases in there if you listen carefully!  Her new favorite things...anything that will fit around her wrist so she can wear it as a bracelet, shoes, shoes, and more shoes (we were at a 40th birthday party last night - complete with a DJ - and a song came on and when Wren heard "My Boogy Shoes" - she bent down, lifted up her dress, and pointed out her shoes "Shoes" to everyone around her) and of course climbing on absolutely everything she can!

Here are some pictures from this past weekend...

This was only one of a few pictures where she is actually looking at the camara - too many kids to play with, not enough time in the night...

...she didn't want to dance with me, can you tell??
